Following the problems with Feedblitz last week, the email service provider has been changed to Feedburner. The email updates supplied by Feedburner provide all of the same functionality as Feedblitz. In addition, the new email service allows the email templates to be modified to provide changes in formatting. The Feedburner emails are also a little cleaner without some of the unnecessary text of the former email templates. Finally, Feedburner is owned by the company that provides this blog, Blogger, which should mean better integration of services and less technical problems.
This change does affect people who have already signed up for email updates. For security reasons, you need to sign up using the new service. The process is the same. Simply provide your email address in the text box on the left side of this screen. Click the Subscribe button. On the next window, you will verify your request to subscribe. Finally, you will be sent an email in which there is a link you must click on to confirm your subscription.
The Feedblitz service has been cancelled. That means that your email address has been deleted from their database, and you will not receive any more emails from Feedblitz.
We apologize for the inconvenience. However, we think that this is a move to a better email update service provider.
